Classic Breckenridge in design with a rustic timber frame and mining theme, Kodiak Mountain Lodge offers all the conveniences a visitor could want in its location alone. Ski out to the Quicksilver lift at Peak 9 and take a short walk back to the house at the end of your ski day. The Breckenridge free ski shuttle is available 100 yards from Kodiak Lodge if you want to get to Main Street for some shopping or sight seeing. A nature trail just outside the home provides for a leisurely walk to town. Inside Kodiak Lodge, you'll find 5320 square feet of living space, along with all the amenities you would expect in a luxury home. As you walk in the front door, you'll have the option of walking down the stone-walled stairway or taking the elevator to the main and lower levels. This home has 5 bedrooms (including two master suites), 5 full bathrooms, as well as 2 powder rooms. The two master suites each have a flat screen, LCD TV and master bathrooms with steam showers and jetted tubs. The main level hosts the great room including the kitchen, dining and living rooms. A two-sided 23-foot tall stone fireplace is the focal point as you enter this room. Floor to ceiling windows and access to the upper deck allow for great views of Baldy Mountain. Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances adorn the gourmet kitchen including a 48" dual fuel range (gas range top with two electric ovens), refrigerator, two dishwashers, trash compactor, microwave drawer and warming drawer. Granite countertops and unique fixtures complete the overall elegance of this room. The open kitchen allows for everyone to be together whether you are the cook of the group, relaxing in front of the fireplace, or setting the table in the dining room. A climate controlled wine room, is also located on the main level along with one of the two laundry rooms and a large pantry. The lower level includes a home theater, billiards, wet bar, ski locker/mud room, sauna and access to the patio with a 6-8 person hot tub. The home theater boasts stadium seating with 8 leather recliners and 110-inch Sony HD projector TV. Watch your favorite team or movie with Direct TV, pay-per-view available for additional cost, or plug in your iPod in the iPod docking station and listen to your favorite music throughout the house with a whole-house audio system. Enjoy a drink at the wet bar near the third gas fireplace in the home. Also located on the lower level is the second laundry room. Kodiak Lodge is available for rentals any time after September 14, 2008.
