Pocahontas Cabins

The Pocahontas Cabins are situated at the base of the Miette Hot Springs Road on the Yellowhead Highway 16 (the east-west route through Jasper National Park), five minutes from Jasper National Park's east gate and thirty minutes from the Jasper town site. This quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town site allows for excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings and the peace and quiet you deserve on your vacation. In the vicinity of Pocahontas Cabins you will experience a marsh area which is favored by migrating waterfowl, common and exotic. Where there's a marsh, there's moose, deer, and elk, these animals being regulars to the area. Black bears live everywhere in the park. Grizzly bear sightings are rare but possible. Mountain sheep are common to the area as well just a short distance from Pocahontas Cabins. The occasional mountain goat will frequent this same area.
